From business management to publishing and sound engineering, there is a multitude of options for those who love music.
1 – Audio Engineer
In both live as well as studio settings, audio engineers are critical to the way the music sounds. They are responsible for capturing and manipulating sound; they work with recording equipment, microphones, and software to ensure high-quality audio. Engineers might specialize in various areas, including mixing, mastering, or live sound engineering.
2 – Artist Manager
This role entails helping performers build and promote their careers. There are different areas that managers can work with: booking performances, negotiating contracts, coordinating travel-related logistics, and more.
3 – Business Manager
This is another area in which artist managers can operate: overseeing the business side of music distribution, managing publicity and streaming platforms, and managing and maintaining artists’ social media accounts. In a constantly changing digital landscape, the business manager’s role can be crucial.
4 – Composer/Songwriter
If you take this path, you get to create original music and lyrics for various forms of media – including film scores, TV shows, commercials, and more. It’s a great way to collaborate with other musicians.

5 – Music Journalist
Music journalists write about music, artists, and industry trends for publications, blogs, and websites. They conduct interviews, review albums and concerts, and cover music news. In addition to a strong foundation in and understanding of music, you also need excellent writing skills for this role.
